Ciento tres años de periodismo confiable e independiente

El 25 de Mayo de 1905, se fundó en Mar del Plata el diario que hasta hoy es insignia del periodismo local y de la zona, siendo el referente nacional de la ciudad.

Con más de 700 mil habitantes, La Capital cumple un rol mediador de construcción de la realidad social, económica, cultural y política de la ciudad y la zona.

En la actualidad, el diario forma parte del Multimedios La Capital, un conjunto de medios que propone para la ciudadanía una multiplicidad de fuentes de alta jerarquía y calidad para la información del día a día.

A lo largo de su historia, el diario acompañó los cambios sociales de la región y su diseño también fue evolucionando. Luego de que su estructura en formato tabloide haya dominado durante 95 años las tiradas diarias, desde el 2000 hasta la actualidad se aporto un diseño más renovado y fresco para facilitar la lectura.

Con la premisa de informar, formar y contribuir a la libre expresión de ideas y de ser participe de la vida de la ciudad, La Capital busca poner claridad y sencillez a la realidad cotidiana.
